It has been a LONG winter. We forgot what it was like to have a real winter. Deep freeze. Several feet of snow. We are all ready for it to be over. I am looking forward to walks on the beach with the sand between my toes and the warmth of the sun on my face. I am also looking forward to the Wedding season and all the memories I get to capture and share some very special...
My home town honored two young men who passed away in our community during Friday nights basketball game. Both of these men were very active in our community and taken away from us too young. The energy in the gym was amazing. The girls team had special uniforms made and on the back they said Hope, Strenght and Courage. There were red and gray balloons throughout the gym and concessions area. All proceeds were given to The National Brain Tumor...
Miss Kaylee was a 2013 Grad. She has a contagious smile and such warm eyes. She was very nervous but once we got going you never would have known it. We covered a lot of groung and waredrobe changes and enjoyed some adveturious locations. Congratulations Kaylee.
I love working with young people. I love being around young people they are full of energy, hope, and their outlook on life is still bright and fresh. This past year I had the pleasure to photograph so many Seniors that are doing great things. Several of these young adults are headed to go play college sports, are becoming nurses and police officers and so many other great things. Super excited to photograph more amazing Seniors this year! ...
I remember Snow Days. Waking up still on my school schedule only to be told to go back to sleep. Yeah right! That was usually followed by my Mom making a run to the local Bakery to get donuts for all of us kids before she headed to work. Then the shenanigans began! My local district will have their third Snow Day tomorrow…. the temps are below Zero and roads are icy. The snow globe is supposed to kick back in tonight too. We do live in...
What a blustery day in Michigan. Snow accumulations that we have not seen in quite some time. But, regardless of how crappy the roads are or the un-stocked store shelves it is absolutely beautiful out there!!!! Tomorrow, I will venture out and capture it. Today it was snowing so hard that it was just a WHITE winter wonderland that I don’t think would have been able to be captured through my lens and truly show its beauty. Stay tuned.
Evelyn and I began planning her session 6 months before we actually started shooting. It was a beautiful early summer day. Evelyn’s Dad was very involved in the shoot and I so enjoyed his participation! Even Graduates in June of 2014 and I am sure whe will be doing some amazing things.
A beautiful blessing came to visit today. Just 6 days old and already into the studio for his first Photo Session of what I hope will be MANY! Corrick was a super star. He came in sleepy on a VERY cold Michigan winter day. His Mommy and Daddy proud and looking more rested than the last time I saw then in the delivery room We had a great session and Corrick was awake for a full two hours. I planned it that way so when Mommy and Daddy got him...
Last week I had the privilege to capture the birth of a beautiful baby boy as he made his way into this big world. CJ arrived a few days early but the exact date that his mommy predicted and within an hour of her predicted time too. His arrival was a family affair. All of his Aunts and Uncles and Grandmas where in the room helping and encouraging his Mommy the entire time. CJ is going to be VERY loved – spoiled I am sure and his Daddy...
